New Years Day
I had a busy New Year's Day with the fire department. I was home with the kids, Tamara was working, and my pager went off for a house fire. I was able to get the neighbour (2 doors down-to the right) to watch the kids & I was off. It turned out to be a minor incident. Before I was back in the van the pager went off again, another house fire call. When I pulled up on scene there were flames shooting out the roof. That's when the adrenaline kicks in. First thing, put the air pack on, everything is pretty much routine now. This blaze was the most intense. I have been at three major fires already just over the winter days. I've only entered into two while they were still burning.
